Text Box: People of Holy Trinity,
I hope all of you have enjoyed the recent contributions of Holy Trinity Singers to our 10:00 worship service. Please consider adding your gifts to our choir! I have programmed some great music for the upcoming fall and advent worship schedules, and it would be enhanced by your participation! Rehearsals are for 45 minutes after coffee hour. I also hope that you have learned something from my liturgical notes in the bulletin each week. I began doing this mostly because I wanted to learn more about the service music I was choosing. I thought some of you might find it interesting as well! If there are any hymns you are curious to know more about, please let me know and I will add those to future notes.

Thank you all for singing the hymns on Sunday mornings! The congregation is sounding much better from my perspective, which means we are starting to do what we are supposed to! Hymns are meant to be sung out to God as songs of praise. Some ways to help with this are reading the text of the hymn before singing it, and taking deep breaths when you get ready to sing.

Another area we will be working on is the area of liturgical chant. The choir and I will be teaching the Text Box: congregation the correct way to chant the response portion of the liturgy over the next few weeks. If you ever have any questions about anything musical, please talk to me on Sundays.

On a personal note, I wanted to ask for all of your prayers. Many of you know that I am currently dealing with some health issues and appreciate all positive thoughts.

Music can help us experience the excitement of God within one’s life, and I welcome any comments or suggestions about how I can enhance the worship experience! Please contact me anytime at holytrinitysingers@verizon.net or 410-254-3453.

Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song; sing his praise in the congregation of the faithful.
