Text Box: A LITTLE CHURCH HUMOR
Text Box: Text Box: This month we are spotlighting Darrin and Darlene Wilson. They have been married for one year. It is the first
marriage for him and the second for her. There are no children. Darlene and Darrin have both had a career in the school system. It is where they met. Darlene now works part time for a doctor as receptionist/bookkeeper and Darrin has been a Network Technician for 5 Text Box: years. Darrin was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and raised in the Baptist church. He has attended Holy Trinity since 2000. Darlene has previously attended the Catholic, Lutheran, and Methodist churches. Darlene sings in the choir, helps at EIO, and volunteers where needed. Both love Holy Trinity and they feel a sense of belonging, the people are very welcoming (especially Fr. Eric) and this church is “home”.
Text Box: We will only have one service on November 4 at 9:00 A.M. at which time The Right Reverend Charles Longest will be our guest celebrant. He will be blessing our new stained glass windows at that time. After the service, we will have a brunch in the parish hall. Please bring a covered dish. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT NEED DESSERTS.
Text Box: Gladys was the preacher’s wife and accompanied her husband each Sunday to church. One Sunday when the sermon seemed to go on forever, many in the congregation fell asleep. After the service, to be sociable, she walked up to a Text Box: sleepy-looking gentleman. In an attempt to revive him from his stupor, she extended her hand in greeting and said, “Hello, I’m Gladys Dunn.” To which he replied, “You’re not the only one.”
Text Box: SEAFARER’S MINISTRY
