The Vestry met on September 11.  Many issues were discussed, including pastoral needs, physical plant problems, and financial concerns.  They include the following items.

Text Box: We are rolling and baking sugar cookies every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings.  We need your help.  If you are unable to give your time, maybe you can donate any of the following ingredients:

Gold Medal Flour, eggs, butter, Parkay Margarine, sugar, vanilla

Cookie order forms are located in the hall.  Please complete them ASAP so that we will bake enough cookies to fill all orders.

Outreach is gearing up for the busiest time of the year. The group is considering new ministries to focus on root causes rather than simply charity.
Every member of the Vestry was given a job description and asked Text Box: to sign an acknowledgement.
 Fr. Eric and Janice Barber are developing welcome packets for newcomers.

Text Box: delivered on November 17 to our neighbors who need help.  We obtain some of the names through DSS and others are known to Fr. Eric.  Please let us know if you can help.

We would like to collect non-perishables as follows:

October 7 – instant potatoes
October 14 – canned vegetables
October 21 – gravy
October 28 – sweet potatoes
November 4 – Stove Top stuffing
November 11 – cranberry sauce

We would also like to include a package of holiday napkins in each box.

Christmas Dinner/Toy Giveaway:  Text Box: Our 7th annual party for the community is scheduled for December 8.  It’s not too early to bring in toys (minimum value of $10.00).  We will need lots of help so please come to our next meeting and look for the sign up sheet in the hall.

Seafarer’s Mission:  With God’s help, we hope to be able to give shoebox gifts to this ministry, just as we did last year.  The recipients are merchant marines who may be thousands of miles from home, and this may be the only gift they receive for Christmas.  Please bring in small toiletry items, stationery, playing cards, puzzles, warm socks, and gloves.  We will fill the boxes and wrap them in December just as we did last year.

Thanksgiving Baskets:  this year we are hoping to feed 50 families in the neighborhood.  For the past two years, we have been able to secure full turkey dinners through the Swirnow Company.  Some of our parishioners have driven to Virginia to pick them up and bring them back to Baltimore.  They are then taken downtown and unloaded for various churches.  The meals for Holy Trinity are brought to the church and combined with the non-perishables that our members have donated.  They will then be
