At our last meeting on June 12, Fr. Eric proposed that a summary of the previous meeting be included in our newsletter.  The vestry agreed.  This is the first review of the last meeting.

The meeting began with a discussion of Joshua 1-5.  Dan, our treasurer, reported that the 60th anniversary dinner cost about $3,400 and we received about $l,750 in donations.  We are still waiting for the final income from tee shirt sales and stained glass window pledges.  Chris, our junior warden, had gotten estimates for replacing the cracked water heater.

Since the women at this homeless shelter can now take showers, there is a need for gently used towels and wash cloths.  Also, there is always a need for diapers.  If you have any questions, please see Denise Thatcher.  Thanks and God Bless.

Text Box: Mark your calendars! November 3 will be a night to remember at Holy Trinity. Tickets will soon be on sale for our first ballroom dance class/party. Never danced? Rusty? Don’t worry, the instructor is prepared to teach a beginner level class. You do not have to have a partner to attend. More information will soon follow. This is a FUNraiser, with proceeds going to help offset the cost of our 60th anniversary celebration. So let’s keep on celebrating...”praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the string and flute.” Psalm 150:4
Text Box: There was discussion regarding alternative options and the vestry agreed to seek further recommendations. We continue to have problems with the sewer line, and some doors need to be replaced. Several members are looking into more prudent ways of responding to these issues. Mary, Sam, Leah, and Ron agreed to continue offering a Sunday school program over the summer. Father Eric is developing job descriptions for every officer and member of the vestry. We are all required to attend a diocesan sponsored Child Abuse Prevention Program and the date is to be determined.

Text Box: Fr. Eric has requested a deacon for the coming year but we will not get an answer until September. Dan suggested renting a new copier so we could print everything in-house which is less expensive than Office Depot. The vestry approved the rental of the copier.

The next meeting will be September 11 at 7:00 P.M. Although our bylaws state that only members have the right to vote, anyone in the congregation is invited to join us for the meeting.
