Text Box: When I arrived here seven years ago, we were struggling to find common ground, fiscal stability and our rightful place within the community. Through prayer and listening to God’s voice, we developed long-range goals, which included increased giving, increased membership, a healthy Sunday School, quality pastoral care, all the while developing a healthy community that enjoys worshiping and partying together. Text Box: Dear Friends in Christ,

Today is Trinity Sunday and it is the first time Holy Trinity Church, Essex celebrates its patron feast day as a separate congregation. We have traditionally used the word parish in the Episcopal Church to identify a church which is not a mission (as we were for 60 years), but that is incorrect. The diocese was set up into 30 parishes (geographical areas) and Holy Trinity was set up as a mission within the bounds of Saint Paul Parish, Baltimore County; therefore, Holy Trinity is a separate congregation within Old Saint Paul’s boundaries.

Enough of history and semantics, this is a milestone in the life of Holy Trinity! Trinity Sunday is the day we celebrate God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit or God the Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer;

I believe this church was aptly named “Holy Trinity” when it was conceived. The unity of personalities within this place and the love shared makes us who we are. Our shared love is never too small that we cannot make room for more persons to develop a relationship with Christ and His Church and to become a part of Christ’s Body. Our shared personalities allow for a variety of persons to gravitate to those personalities with whom they are most comfortable. Holy Trinity is, for the most part, a reflection of God and God’s qualities and personalities.

Text Box: Happy Birthday Holy Trinity!
Because we know you are always there
We celebrate this day with joy and prayer.
Text Box: Happy Birthday Holy Trinity!
You started out with such a few
And over the years you grew and grew
And always kept you in our sight.

Text Box: Happy Birthday Holy Trinity!
God blessed us through His Holy Son
Now we are going on sixty-one
On our day of celebration blessed from above
We hold you dear with our hearts full of love.
